There was chaos in the event

The fourth annual international meeting on Generative AI and the first Impact Summit hosted by a developing country attracted thousands of participants. It included leaders from around the world and chief executive officers (CEOs) of top tech companies. The event was hit by complaints of poor management due to disorganized entry and exit points at the summit and expo site. The next AI summit is scheduled to be held in Geneva in 2027.

What is the government’s expectation regarding investment?

India is using this summit to realize its ambition of becoming a global leader in the field of AI like the US and China. This includes the construction of data centers and nuclear power plants to provide energy to them. The government expects investments of more than $200 billion (about Rs 18,000 billion) in the next 2 years, with US tech giants announcing several new deals in the country.
