The weather patterns have changed across the country. Even before Holi, the heat has started pricking in the afternoon, but there is a feeling of cool breeze in the morning and evening. The sky is clear in some states while clouds are hovering at some places. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain in the hilly states due to western disturbance. Also, in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Telangana, there is an alert of normal and at some places torrential rains and thunderstorms.

Due to western disturbance, the weather will deteriorate over the hilly states today. There is a possibility of rain in Uttarakhand for the next 3 days. During this period, strong wind will blow at a speed of 40 km/hour. There may be heavy rain in Nainital, North Kashi, Pithoragarh, Chamoli and Almora. It may rain in Shimla, Kullu, Mandi, Hamirpur, Kangra and Solan of Himachal Pradesh, while there will be snowfall in Manali. There is an alert of rain for 2 days in Jammu and Kashmir.

At present the weather will remain normal in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand, but there is a possibility of fog in the morning and late night. The temperature will continue to rise due to strong sunlight, due to which mild heat can be felt. After the recent rains in Rajasthan, the weather has now become normal. During this period the maximum temperature will be 28 degrees and the minimum will be 16 degrees. On the other hand, there is a possibility of rain in Madhya Pradesh for the next 3 days from February 22.

Feeling the heat in the capital

The weather in the NCR region including the capital Delhi has now started becoming dry and hot, but slight cold persists at night. Light fog may be visible in some areas. The maximum temperature on February 22 is likely to be around 28 degrees. On February 21, 28.1 degrees were recorded, which was 2.6 degrees above normal, while the minimum temperature was 14.2 degrees. The temperature may reach 32 degrees next week, due to which the feeling of heat is likely to increase.
