New date locked for ‘Jana Nayagan’ movie release?

Tamil film superstar Thalapathy Vijay is currently at the most important stage of his career. Having plunged into politics, he acted in the last movie before getting completely immersed in politics and that was ‘Jana Nayagan’. The movie, which was supposed to be released on Sankranti, has not yet been released because the CBFC has not given the certificate. It is no secret that there is a political hand behind denying the certificate to ‘Jana Nayagan’. But now there is a new update about the release of the movie.

According to a Pinkvilla report, the film, which was supposed to release in January, is said to be delayed by six months. It is planning to release the movie on the occasion of Vijay’s birthday. Vijay’s birthday is on 22nd June and ‘Jana Nayagan’ is likely to release worldwide in the same week i.e. around June 2026.

Many forces are trying to prevent the release of the film before the Tamil Nadu elections, and it seems that there is a lot of pressure on the producers of the film. For this reason, the producers are also said to be mentally prepared to release the film in June after the election.

The movie ‘Jana Nayagan’ directed by H Vinoth is said to be a true political action thriller. Although this movie is a remake of Telugu movie ‘Bhagwanth Kesari’ some extra elements have been added to the movie. As Vijay is already involved in active politics through his ‘Tamilaga Vetri Kalagam’ party, the story and dialogues of this movie complement his political path, there are rumors that Vijay is using this movie to promote his political party’s agenda. For this reason, political opponents have used their influence to stop the release of the movie ‘Jana Nayagan’.

‘Jana Nayagan’ is Vijay’s 69th and final film as an actor. Bobby Deol is the villain in this movie. Pooja Hegde will be seen as the heroine. Along with him, Malayalam actress Mamita Biju also plays an important role. Anirudh Ravichandran has composed the music for the movie. The objection filed by the producer regarding the non-certification of the movie by CBFC is currently going on in the High Court. Meanwhile, the film has been sent to the review committee of CBFC. But the review committee has not taken any decision yet.
