8 arrested accused of Bangladeshi terrorist module made shocking revelations

New Delhi: On Sunday morning, eight terrorists were arrested simultaneously from different states of the country. All these terrorists are associated with the Bangladeshi module of Lashkar-e-Taiba. After the arrest, the special team of Delhi Police is busy interrogating all of them. Many big revelations have been made during the interrogation. Investigation has revealed that the entire network was being run by Bangladesh-based handler Shabbir Ahmed Lone alias Raja alias Kashmiri. He was hatching a terrorist conspiracy using Bangladeshi citizens living illegally in India.

Important revelations made during interrogation

Let us know what big revelations have come during the interrogation of the special team of Delhi Police-

• In March 2025, Umar Farooq came in contact with Shabbir Ahmed Lone, who radicalized him and entrusted him with the responsibility of Lashkar’s activities in India.
• Shabbir had planned to carry out terrorist attacks in India through Bangladeshi citizens living with Indian identity cards, so that the real identity remains hidden.
• In December 2025, Umar Farooq was given orders to conduct recce of important and sensitive places in India. After Reiki, videos were made and sent to Shabbir sitting in Bangladesh.
• After the successful recce, Umar was called to Bangladesh, where the further strategy was explained and he was given the task of recruiting more Bangladeshi youth.
• On Shabbir’s orders, a rented place was taken in Kolkata, which was to be used as a base and hideout for terrorist activities.
• Umar was also asked to arrange weapons and was in talks with local contacts for the same.
• The conspiracy to paste pro-Pak and pro-terror posters in Delhi and Kolkata was also hatched on the instructions of Shabbir. While putting up the posters, videos were made and sent to him, after which Shabbir congratulated him and asked him to do the same at other places also.
• Another Bangladeshi national named Saidul Islam, who is currently in another country, was involved in arranging Shabbir’s entry and whereabouts in Bangladesh. He passed the information about the members of Tamil Nadu module to Shabbir and Umar.
• During interrogation, it also emerged that Shabbir Ahmed Lone was earlier arrested by the Special Cell in 2007 with weapons (AK-47 and grenade) and remained lodged in Tihar jail till 2018.
• At the time of his arrest, he was found to have links with Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief terrorist Hafiz Saeed and his deputy Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi.
• He had taken Daura-e-Aam (Basic Training) and Daura-e-Khas (Advanced Training) at Lashkar Camp in Muzaffarabad.
• At present, he was running operations against India while sitting in Bangladesh and was allegedly carrying forward the terrorist conspiracy by recruiting Bangladeshi youth with the help of ISI.
• According to the investigating agencies, this module was in preparation for major terrorist attacks in India. At present, interrogation of all the arrested terrorists is going on.
