We reached Jeju Island with great excitement, but within hours of reaching there everything changed and our happiness turned into fear. We were refused entry by the authorities and then taken to a detention area. We were just asked to wait without giving any reason.

Sachin told that he was given jail-like food. Not even allowed to make phone calls. Even when they were returning via China, they were kept under strict surveillance like criminals and the police accompanied them even to go to the washroom. We were treated like criminals. Sachin alleged that he was also forced to buy a very expensive return ticket.”
