What is the number of voters?
Before the start of the SIR process in Tamil Nadu, the number of voters on October 27, 2025 was 6.41 crore. At the same time, according to the final voter list of SIR which came out on 23 February 2026, the number of voters in Tamil Nadu has reduced to 5.67 crores. In such a situation, there are indications that more than 74 lakh names have been removed from the voter list in the state. Voters who have objections to the final voter list can contact the authorities after the release of the final list for addition or deletion of names. The final roll will also be shared with political parties by the Election Commission.
Which seat has the maximum number of voters?
According to the release issued by the Chief Electoral Officer of Tamil Nadu, the voter list includes 2.7 crore men, 2.8 crore women and 7,617 voters of the third gender. Shojchinganallur assembly constituency in Chengalpattu district of the state has the highest number of 5.36 lakh voters. At the same time, the assembly constituency with the least number of voters is Harbor where there are 1.16 lakh voters.
