New Delhi: Swami Avimukteshwarananda’s problems may increase. He can be arrested any time. An FIR has been registered against him on charges of sexual exploitation of children and on the orders of the court, a case has been registered under the POCSO Act. It is worth noting that in a case registered under the POCSO Act, the arrest of the accused is certain and there is no provision for anti-sepsis bail.
In such a situation, INDIA TV wanted to talk to Swami Avimukteshwarananda and know his side, but after hearing the sharp questions of India TV, Swami Avimukteshwarananda got angry and left the interview midway. There is also a video of this, in which Swami Avimukteshwarananda can be seen not answering the question.
What happened during the interview?
Actually, India TV asked Swami Avimukteshwaranand during the interview that the allegations against him are very serious. If we talk about the sections, then Section 351 (3) of BNS, Section 5 and Section 6 and Section 3 of POCSO Act are imposed. These sections include creating fear, putting pressure, misuse of power, committing sexual crimes and serious sexual exploitation of children. What would you say about these allegations?
In response to this question, Avimukteshwaranand said, “These are all false allegations. An attempt is being made to impose them on us through a fabricated story. This is a matter in the court and we are giving our reply in it through our advocates.”
Avimukteshwaranand said, “We did not know about the POCSO Act but now we know. Arrest is purposeful, it is not aimless to make an arrest. The purpose of arrest is that the evidence should not be destroyed, medical test should be conducted and the accused should not run away. In our situation, these three reasons are not present here. It was said for evidence that this incident has happened in Magh Mela. Magh Mela has been uprooted. The thing is, that cannot happen because so much time has passed, there is no question of our escape. Therefore the purpose of arrest is not fulfilled here.
India TV asked Swami Avimukteshwaranand, “The court asked the SHO of Jhusi to file an FIR as per the complaint. You must have also talked to your lawyers. When the court’s order is simple, then who is conspiring against you?”
After hearing this question from India TV, Swami Avimukteshwaranand left the interview midway.
