New Delhi: PM Modi recently inaugurated the entire NaMo Bharat Rapid Rail corridor along with the new Meerut Metro, giving a big boost to regional connectivity in North India. The Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS is touted to be India’s fastest urban transit system and is expected to significantly reduce travel time between Delhi and Meerut. With modern coaches, integrated ticketing and high-frequency service, the new corridor will reshape daily commuting in the NCR region.

Where does Delhi-Meerut RRTS start?
The Namo Bharat service originates from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi, which is the main origin station of the corridor. From here, trains run to Modipuram in Meerut via Ghaziabad and interchange with Meerut Metro is available at designated stations.
What will be its fare?
NaMo Bharat trains follow a distance-based fare system designed for daily commuters. Standard class fare starts from around ₹20 and can go up to around ₹150 depending on the distance. Passengers can switch between Namo Bharat and Meerut Metro services with a single integrated ticket. Services on the Namo Bharat corridor are designed to run approximately every 10 minutes, while the Meerut Metro is expected to run at an interval of approximately 7 minutes.

Let us tell you that Namo Bharat Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) is 82 kilometers long. The maximum speed of Namo Bharat will be 180 kilometers per hour. Whereas the maximum speed of the metro will be 120 km per hour.
