What kind of tragedy is this? Parents hanged themselves with ceiling fan, then 24 year old son slit his wrists

A sensational incident has come to light in Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana. Three members of a family committed suicide at their home in Bapunagar under Amberpet police station here. There is an atmosphere of shock and panic in the area after the incident. Police have recovered the bodies of all three and sent them for post-mortem.

The dead include a couple and their 24-year-old son. Initial investigation suggests that the family may have taken this step due to financial constraints.

What kind of suicide?

At first glance it seems that the woman of the house committed suicide first. Later her husband, identified as Ramaraju, allegedly hanged himself from the ceiling fan. His son, Shashank (24), allegedly cut his wrist and died of excessive bleeding.

When the neighbors saw that the family did not respond for a long time, they informed the police. Police reached the spot and sent the bodies for postmortem.

Financial constraints or some other reason?

Secunderabad Additional DCP Narsaiah said that a case has been registered and a detailed investigation is underway to find out the exact cause of death of the three. Police are also verifying financial records and talking to relatives to find out the circumstances under which the incident occurred.
