West Bengal shaken by strong earthquake, people came out of their houses

Strong earthquake tremors were felt in Kolkata around 1:30 pm on Friday afternoon. According to reports, Bangladesh was the epicenter of this earthquake. According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC), a magnitude 5.4 earthquake struck Bangladesh and the epicenter was near Satkhira in Khulna division of Bangladesh. This earthquake occurred at a depth of 35 kilometers.

Building shook in Kolkata

The Telegraph Said that despite the epicenter being in Bangladesh, the tremors were more. The 12-year-old boy, who lives in an apartment complex in Salt Lake, was hit so hard that he felt it. He said it was so powerful that the building shook. A girl living in Behala told that her entire bed started shaking. Items kept on top of cupboards also fell from some houses.
