Prema reminisced about the hardships she faced while acting as a heroine

Prema, who became a star actress in South India, made a comeback in 2017 after complaining about acting. Evergreen actress Prema recently shared her bittersweet memories of her long 23-year career in cinema. Having entered the film industry without any film background, she spoke heartily about how difficult the path to become a star actress was. This time, the actress also talked about the pain she felt while acting in a movie and the damage caused by it.

Prema had always wanted to become an air hostess. But due to mother’s encouragement, he stepped into the world of color. The movie ‘Om’ directed by Upendra gave him a big turning point in his career. It was the second movie in which Prema acted. He recalls the tough conditions in which he had to work amidst broken glass and fire for the realistic acting of the film.

Prema, who gave super hit films like ‘Dharmachakram’ and ‘Devi’ in Telugu, initially faced a language problem. He fondly remembers that famous director Kody Ramakrishna taught him Telugu. He remembers the old days when there were no caravan facilities like today, everyone had to sit in one room and work on the sets.

She had to wear special lenses for her role in ‘Devi’, which created a milestone in female lead films. As a result, he developed a severe eye infection during the shooting of ‘Devi’. Prema claims that he has overcome that difficulty due to his excessive love for acting. Sharing the experience of working with Telugu big names like Venkatesh, Mohan Babu and Jagapathi Babu, Prema said that the discipline and punctuality of Mohan Babu and Vishnuvardhan impressed him a lot.

Actress Prema, who entered the film industry in 1995, was active in Kannada and Telugu films till 2009. After that, Prema got away from the film industry and got busy in his personal life. But after some ups and downs in his personal life, he re-entered the film industry in 2017. Now he is acting in Kannada and Telugu movies here and there.
