New Delhi: Amidst the increasing tension in the Middle East, a big statement from the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has come out. He said, “India’s thinking is clear regarding the many tensions going on in the world. We have always talked about maintaining peace. The current situation in West Asia is a matter of deep concern for us. The problem should be solved only through dialogue. We will continue to work with all the countries for the security of all the Indians present in this region.”

PM Modi met Canadian PM in Delhi today

PM Modi on Monday lauded the growth in relations with Canada under the leadership of Prime Minister Mark J Carney and said the two countries aim to deepen their economic cooperation to touch US $ 50 billion trade by 2030. In this context, he further informed that Ottawa and New Delhi have decided to finalize a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement in the near future. He said these things during a joint press release with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney in the capital on Monday.

PM Modi said, “Today we discussed converting this vision into a next-level partnership. Our target is to achieve trade of $50 billion by 2030. Tapping the full potential of economic cooperation is our priority. Therefore, we have decided to finalize a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement soon.”

PM Modi said, “This decision will open new investment and employment opportunities in both the countries. Canada’s pension funds have invested $100 billion in India. This is a symbol of their deep faith in India’s growth story.”

He said that later in the day, the leaders will also meet members of the business world, whose suggestions will be helpful in formulating the roadmap for economic cooperation between the two countries.
