BJP announced 9 names for Rajya Sabha, Nitin Naveen’s name also included; See full list

New Delhi: Election excitement is at its peak regarding Rajya Sabha elections 2026. Only one day is left in the nomination process. Just before this, BJP has announced 9 names for Rajya Sabha. Nitin Naveen’s name is also included in this list. BJP has nominated Nitin Naveen to send him to Rajya Sabha from Bihar. Apart from this, BJP has also sent the name of Rahul Sinha from West Bengal to Rajya Sabha.

9 names in BJP’s list

Talking about the list released by BJP, it contains names of 2 candidates from Bihar, 2 from Assam, 2 from Odisha and one each from Chhattisgarh, Haryana and Odisha. BJP has named Nitin Naveen and Shivesh Kumar from Bihar. Apart from this, the names of Terash Gowala and Jegen Mohan are from Assam. The name of Lakshmi Verma is from Chhattisgarh. Next in this list are the names of Sanjay Bhatia from Haryana and Rahul Sinha from West Bengal. Apart from this, the names of two people from Odisha are Manmohan Samal and Sujit Kumar in the BJP list.

Upendra Kushwaha will be NDA candidate

National President of Rashtriya Lok Morcha Upendra Kushwaha has been declared the official candidate of the party for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections. Upendra Kushwaha will file his nomination as the candidate of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) supported Rashtriya Lok Morcha. Issuing a press release, party’s state spokesperson Nitin Bharti said that after deliberations and mutual communication by the top leadership of NDA, it has been decided that Mr. Kushwaha will file his nomination for candidature in Bihar Assembly on March 05. Leaders of all the constituent parties of NDA will be present on this occasion.

Elections for Rajya Sabha in these states

According to the Election Commission, the states where elections are to be held for Rajya Sabha include Maharashtra (7 seats), Odisha (4 seats), Telangana (2 seats), Tamil Nadu (6 seats), Chhattisgarh (2 seats), West Bengal (5 seats), Assam (3 seats), Haryana (2 seats), Himachal Pradesh (1 seat) and Bihar (5 seats). Voting for all these seats will be held on March 16 between 9 am to 4 pm and counting of votes will take place from 5 pm on the same day.

What did Nitin Naveen say?

BJP National President Nitin Naveen said, “The festival of Holi is incomplete without coming to Bihar. The fun of celebrating Holi at home, with family, in one’s constituency, with workers and the people of Bihar is something else. It is a festival that not only colors every house but also fills it with happiness and mutual brotherhood. I heartily congratulate all the people of Bihar and the country on Holi. In Holi, evil is defeated and good is defeated. There is victory. May Bihar move towards goodness and development.”
