Private airline SpiceJet has intensified its efforts to bring back Indian citizens stranded in Gulf countries safely. The company has announced that it will operate 8 special flights from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) today on March 4.

Flights to major cities

Flight operations have been disrupted due to the closure of airspace in West Asia due to the increasing conflict between America, Israel and Iran. Through these 8 special flights, service is being provided from Fujairah in UAE to various major cities of India-

  1. 4 special flights operated for Delhi
  2. 4 flights operated for Mumbai
  3. 1 flight operated to Kochi

Earlier, the airline operated 4 special flights on March 3. SpiceJet will resume its scheduled Fujairah-Delhi and Fujairah-Mumbai flights from March 4.

300 Indian citizens stranded in Kuwait

At the same time, about 300 Indian citizens are stuck in Kuwait. All of them are currently staying in Hotel Crown Plaza in Kuwait, but the situation there is now becoming serious. Stranded Kalpesh Sanjay Rathi says that neither the hotel management is helping him nor is he getting any concrete assurance from the Kuwait government. Most of these 300 citizens are residents of Maharashtra. These passengers had reached there in connection with some work or transit. Indians trapped in the hotel have demanded immediate intervention from the Government of India and the Indian Embassy in Kuwait.
