Iran Israel War: India rejects claims that the US is using Indian ports to attack Iran. India has termed these allegations as ‘baseless and fabricated’. This reaction of the Indian Foreign Ministry came when former US Army Colonel Douglas Macgregor said in an interview to the American news channel One America News Network (OANN) that the American Navy is dependent on Indian Navy bases to attack Iran in the Iran-US conflict.

Former American Army Colonel lied

In this interview, Douglas Macgregor claimed that the US Navy’s infrastructure has suffered huge losses, due to which it has to depend on Indian ports. He said, ‘Almost all our bases have been destroyed. Our port facilities have also been destroyed. In such a situation, we have to resort to India and Indian ports, which is not an ideal situation; But this is what the Navy says.

Indian Foreign Ministry rejected the claim

However, rejecting these claims, the official Fact Check Unit of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs called the news running on OANN as ‘fake and false’. In a post made on social media platform X, the ministry advised people to be alert from spreading ‘baseless and fabricated’ statements regarding India’s role.
