Indian cricket team’s fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah achieved an important achievement during the second semi-final match of T-20 World Cup 2026. Actually, he completed 500 wickets in his international cricket career. England cricket team captain Harry Brook became his 500th victim. With this, he has now become the 8th bowler for India to reach the milestone of 500 international wickets. Let’s take a look at his statistics.

Bumrah’s career has been brilliant

Bumrah made his international debut for India in 2016 in an ODI match against Australia. Since then he has played a total of 235 matches across all formats, taking 500 wickets. This includes 234 wickets in Test cricket, 149 in ODI and 117 wickets in T-20 International. He is a successful bowler for India in every format. He has taken 10 wickets so far in the T20 World Cup 2026.

Before Bumrah, Anil Kumble, Ravichandran Ashwin, Harbhajan Singh, Kapil Dev, Ravindra Jadeja, Zaheer Khan and Javagal Srinath have taken more than 500 international wickets. Former legend Kumble is the bowler taking the most wickets (953) from India in international cricket. Whereas, Ashwin took 765 wickets, Harbhan 707, Kapil 687, Jadeja 634, Zaheer 597 and Srinath 551 wickets.
