Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday congratulated the people and government of the Himalayan country Nepal for the successful general elections. PM Modi said that this historic achievement is a proud moment in Nepal’s democratic journey. PM Modi also said that as a close friend and neighbour, India is determined to work with the people of Nepal and its new government to scale new heights of peace, progress and prosperity.

RSP moving towards victory

Rapper-turned-political leader Balendra Shah’s Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has registered a massive victory. RSP had declared Balendra Shah as its candidate for the post of Prime Minister. Balendra Shah has registered a big victory against KP Sharma Oli. Balendra Shah has defeated KP Sharma Oli in Jhapa-5 seat by 49,614 votes.

Let us tell you that during the election campaign, Balendra Shah, popularly known as Balen, had described himself as ‘son of Madhesh’ and the party had given the slogan of ‘Abki Baar Balendra Sarkar’. Of the total 32 seats in eight districts of Madhesh province, RSP has won 7 seats and is leading in 23 other constituencies.

RSP wins all 10 seats in Kathmandu

According to the election results and trends, the party is sweeping the Kathmandu Valley as well. It has won all 10 seats in Kathmandu district, two seats in Bhaktapur and one seat in Lalitpur district. Out of the total 15 seats in Kathmandu Valley, the party is ahead by a huge margin in the remaining two seats also.

Pali Congress won six seats

On the last day of the election campaign, the party, under the leadership of Balen, conducted road shows in all 15 constituencies of Kathmandu Valley. Nepali Congress has won six seats and is leading on 12 other seats. Nepali Communist Party has won two seats and is leading on six other seats.
