According to the information, a passenger lit a beedi and started smoking in the toilet of the plane, which created a stir. The accused passenger endangered the lives of everyone present on the plane. After the matter came to light, a case has been registered against the passenger.

What is the whole matter?

According to the information given by the police, a case has been registered against a passenger for smoking beedi in the toilet of the plane. Police said on Sunday that this incident happened on Saturday. The accused has been identified as Ashish who was traveling in Akasa Air flight QP-1625 from Delhi to Goa. The airline has said in its complaint that the accused allegedly smoked beedi in the toilet of the plane. A lighter was also found from him. Due to this, the life of the plane and the passengers in it could be in danger.

Police have informed that the safety of co-passengers and crew members was put in danger due to the burning of beedi by a passenger in the plane. A case has been registered against the accused at Mopa Airport Police Station and further investigation is being conducted into the incident.

What did the airlines say?

Akasa Air has also given information about this incident. The airline company has said that after the incident came to light, the crew members worked as per the necessary protocol. The airline said, “On board Akasa Air flight QP-1625 on March 7, a passenger was found smoking in the aircraft lavatory. The crew members followed safety and regulatory procedures and necessary protocols as per the law and handed over the accused to the relevant authorities upon arrival in Goa.” (input language)
