Parliament Budget Session LIVE: Even in the second phase of the budget session of Parliament, there has been uproar so far. Meanwhile, Parliament proceedings have started on Friday also. However, even today the proceedings are expected to be rowdy. Earlier on Thursday, members of Congress and several other opposition parties demonstrated in the Parliament complex over the alleged LPG crisis in the country. MPs from Congress, SP, DMK and several other opposition parties gathered near the Makar Gate of Parliament and raised slogans against the government. Opposition MPs also carried placards in the shape of gas cylinders.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also expressed concern over the LPG crisis amid the ongoing war in the Middle East and demanded a discussion on the issue in Parliament. Kharge said that PM Modi should answer on this in the House. He also said that the country has the right to know the truth. “The fake formula-based assurances of the Modi government expose its complete incompetence,” Kharge said in a post on ‘X’. There were predictions about impending war in West Asia. Yet the government did nothing to secure India’s energy supply. Now the crisis is deepening and common people are facing difficulties.
Regarding the LPG crisis, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi said, “Actually our energy security has been compromised. Wrong foreign policy has created this problem. Now we have to prepare. We still have some time left. The government and the Prime Minister should start preparations immediately, otherwise crores of people will suffer a huge loss. We are going into an unstable time. During this time you will have to change your thinking. I am suggesting to the government that now they should deeply We have to start thinking and ensure that our people do not suffer huge losses. I see that a big problem is coming. The Prime Minister is not able to function as the Prime Minister of the country.
