New Delhi: India has strongly condemned Pakistani attacks on Afghanistan. In this regard, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that India strongly condemns the air strikes carried out by Pakistan in the territory of Afghanistan. These attacks resulted in civilian deaths and damage to infrastructure in residential areas. Not only this, he called it an aggressive action by Pakistan.
Respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Afghanistan
According to this statement, this is another attack from Pakistan which is against the idea of a sovereign Afghanistan. India reiterates that the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Afghanistan must be fully respected.
Accused of targeting residential areas
Let us tell you that the Taliban government of Afghanistan on Friday accused the Pakistani Army of targeting the homes of common people in overnight air strikes in Kabul and other areas of the country. The Taliban said at least six civilians were killed and several others were injured in the attacks. This is the third week of fighting between the two neighboring countries.
Fuel depot was also targeted
According to Afghan government spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid, Pakistani aircraft also attacked a fuel depot belonging to the private airline ‘Kam Air’ located near Kandahar airport. “This company supplies fuel to civilian aircraft as well as UN aircraft,” he said. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s state television reported that the country’s armed forces carried out “successful air strikes inside Afghanistan” as part of the ongoing operation, reportedly targeting four terrorist hideouts and their supporting infrastructure in Afghanistan.
This development has come to light amid increasing tension between the two countries, which Pakistan has termed as ‘open war’. This has further increased concerns about stability in the region, as America and Israel’s ongoing war against Iran continues, creating an environment of widespread uncertainty. The reason for this dispute is that Pakistan believes that the Taliban government of Afghanistan is giving shelter to terrorist groups who carry out attacks against it.
