Warning of thunderstorm and heavy rain in these states, know the weather condition of your state.

The weather patterns have suddenly changed amid rising temperatures in many parts of the country. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of strong storm, thunder and heavy rain in most of the states including Delhi and Uttar Pradesh between March 15 and 19. During this period, strong winds can blow at a speed of 50 to 65 kilometers per hour at many places, while there is a possibility of lightning in some areas. On the other hand, there is a danger of heatwave in some states with the temperature likely to reach 40 degrees Celsius.

Rain alert in these states including Delhi-UP

• There is a warning of heavy rain with strong wind in Delhi today and the wind speed can reach 40 to 50 kilometers per hour.
• There is a possibility of rain and strong winds in Uttar Pradesh on March 15 and 16.
• There may be light rain and thundershowers in Western Rajasthan on March 18 and 19 and in Eastern Rajasthan also.
• There is a possibility of hailstorm in Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh on March 15 and 16.
• There may be thunderstorms and strong winds at many places in Himachal Pradesh from 15 to 19 March.
• There may be rain and thundershowers in Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal between March 15 and 17.
• Light to moderate rain and strong winds are expected in Odisha between March 14 and 18.
• In Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha and Madhya Pradesh, winds can blow at a speed of 30 to 50 kilometers per hour.

Heavy rain warning in Northeast India

• There may be moderate rain with thundershowers in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya.
• Rain is also expected at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
• Heavy rain and snowfall may also occur at some places in Arunachal Pradesh.

Weather will change in South India also

• There is a possibility of rain with thunder in many states of South India.
• There may be rain in Telangana between March 15 and 18.
• There is a possibility of heavy rain in coastal Andhra Pradesh on March 16.
• Karnataka and Tamil Nadu may experience light to moderate rain and strong winds on March 17 and 18.
• There is a possibility of thunder and lightning in Kerala also on March 15 and 16.

Chance of rain in Gujarat also

• In Western India, there may be light to moderate rain with thundershowers in Gujarat region on March 18 and 19.

Heatwave threat in some states

While on one hand there is a rain alert in many states, on the other hand the effect of heat may also increase in some places. There is a possibility of heat wave in Vidarbha, Jharkhand and Odisha. Konkan, Goa and Kerala may continue to experience hot and humid weather.
