‘BJP’s landslide victory predicted in Assam’, read MATRIZE-IANS’s opinion poll

Assam Election Opinion Poll: The Election Commission has announced the dates of Assam Assembly elections. Voting in Assam will take place on 9 April 2026 and the results will be declared on 4 May. Amidst the announcement of elections in Assam, the opinion poll there has also arrived. MATRIZE-IANS has tried to gauge the public mood in its opinion poll, which is indicating that BJP is moving towards forming the government in Assam for the third consecutive time. There is little hope of Congress or AIUDF getting a chance.

BJP’s big victory predicted in opinion poll

According to MATRIZE-IANS opinion poll on Assam Assembly Elections 2026, this time BJP can achieve a landslide victory. BJP may get 96-98 seats, Congress 26-28 seats, AIUDF 1-5 seats and others 1-3 seats. According to opinion polls, Congress and AIUDF do not have the strength to challenge BJP in this election.

The date of Assam assembly elections has been announced. Elections will be held in one phase in Assam. Its gazette notification will be released on 16 March 2026. The last date for nomination for the candidates here is 23 March 2026. Whereas, voting will take place on 9 April 2026. After this, the results of Assam Assembly elections will be announced on 4 May 2026.

Statistics of last assembly elections

Talking about the results of Assam Assembly Elections 2021, BJP had emerged as the largest party. BJP had won 60 seats. At the same time, Congress got 29 seats, AIUDF got 16 seats and Assam Gana Parishad got 9 seats. BPF was successful in getting 4 seats in this election.
