The audience is angry because of the increase in movie ticket prices. Especially in Karnataka, when big budget movies come, they increase the ticket prices and cut into the audience’s pockets. Pawan Kalyan spoke about this issue. He said that the increase in ticket price is not an exploitation of the audience. There have been debates for and against his statement.

He gave an example of the success of the Kannada blockbuster movie ‘Kantara’. ‘It should not matter who acted in the language or the movie. Telugu films are facing setbacks in Karnataka. But I have never felt bad about a film like Kantara. Because it is an Indian film, it needs to be encouraged,’ he said.

Talking about the increase in ticket prices, Pawan Kalyan said, ‘It should not be seen as exploitation. Watching movies in theaters is not mandatory. “Now the audience has a choice of multiple platforms, including Netflix, Amazon,” he said. Producers have invested huge amounts. He said that the ticket price will be increased because they have to get money in return.

In Andhra, if the ticket price is to be increased, the approval of the government is required. That too there is a chance to increase the ticket price only for a few days. However, there is no such rule in Karnataka. Thus, this is considered as oppression.
