Luxury car manufacturer BMW has launched the new M2 CS in India. It will be imported and sold in limited numbers. It is based on the second generation M2, but with significant improvements in terms of power and weight. Additionally, improvements have also been made to the car’s suspension and chassis, making it better suited for performance on the track. This car accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds.

The M2 CS makes extensive use of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) elements. These include a carbon roof, boot lid, mirror caps and a CS-specific rear diffuser. It also has a ducktail spoiler for better aerodynamics and stability. The kidney grille has a unique design with large air intakes, while at the rear, there are 4 exhaust tips in matte black color, bronze finished 19-inch front and 20-inch rear forced alloy wheels.

Talking about the interior, the M2 CS has a sporty cabin, which gets M carbon bucket seats with lightweight materials, Alcantara steering wheel with carbon insert, Merino leather upholstery and carbon fiber center console. The cabin gets ambient lighting along with bright CS branding, head-up display, Harman Kardon sound system and connected features. The new M2 CS features multiple drive modes including Track Mode, 10-stage M Traction Control, M Drift Analyser, and Lap Timer.

Powerful engine is available in the car
The new BMW M2 CS is powered by a 3.0-litre inline 6-cylinder S58 engine, which uses M TwinPower Turbo technology. This engine produces 530hp power and 650Nm torque, which is 50hp more than the standard M2. Its maximum speed is 302 km/h. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an 8-speed M Steptronic transmission equipped with Drivelogic technology. It has been launched in India at a price of Rs 1.66 crore (ex-showroom).
