How to do LPG e-KYC online through Aadhar Card?

What is the news?

The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has said that all domestic LPG consumers are required to complete Aadhaar based biometric verification i.e. e-KYC. Its purpose is to connect the connection with the correct identity and to improve services. However, this is not a new rule, but an already ongoing process. Those who have not yet completed e-KYC have been advised to complete it soon.

How to complete e-KYC through mobile app

Consumers can also complete e-KYC through mobile app sitting at home. For this, download the app of your gas company and log in. Then go to e-KYC section and fill your Aadhar card information. After this, identification has to be completed through face authentication. Once the process is complete, submit your application and wait for the confirmation, which will link your connection to Aadhaar.

The process can also be done by going to the distributor

If a consumer is not able to do this online process on his own, then he can do e-KYC by going to his nearest gas agency or distributor. For this it is necessary to carry Aadhar card and registered mobile number. There fingerprint or face authentication is done through biometric verification. Once the process is complete, confirmation is given to the consumer and the connection is updated.

Failure to do e-KYC may cause problems

If consumers do not complete their e-KYC on time, they may face a lot of problems in gas service in future. There may be problems like delay in refill booking or stoppage of service. Therefore, the Ministry has appealed to all consumers to complete this process as soon as possible. With this, the gas connection will remain updated properly and any kind of problem can be avoided in future.
