The song ‘Sarse Seraga’ from the movie ‘KD’ directed by Prem and starring Dhruva Sarja has caused a huge controversy after its release. The lyrics of the song have been strongly objected to. Especially the Hindi version of the song ‘Sarke Chunaria Teri Sarke’ has been severely criticized and a complaint has already been filed with CBFC and Cyber Police. There was also a discussion about the song in the Lok Sabha. Now, the National Commission for Women has issued notices to many people including director Prem regarding the song and asked them to attend the inquiry.
The National Commission for Women, using its powers under the NCW Act, 1990, filed a voluntary complaint in the matter based on media reports. The Commission took seriously the objections raised that the visuals and lyrics of the song could have a bad impact on the society.

Actress Nora Fatehi, who appeared in the song, actor Sanjay Dutt, lyricist Rakib Alam, who wrote the Hindi version of the song, producer of the movie Venkat K Narayana and director Prem alias Kiran Kumar, were involved in the case. A notice has been issued to them, directing them to appear before the commission on March 24 at 12:30 pm with relevant documents. The commission has also warned of appropriate action in case of default.

Yesterday (March 18) after objections were raised about the lyrics of the song, the director and the lyricist of the song, Prem, clarified that he wrote the song keeping in mind the oil bottle and the pickle, but people misunderstood it. But Prem said that he would apologize if he was bored with the lyrics of the song and also said that he will re-write the song and release the song again.
