Skoda has launched its 2026 Kushaq facelift in the Indian market. It is available in 5 trims – Classic Plus, Signature, Sportline, Prestige and Monte Carlo. The mid-life update includes some minor changes to the exterior and interior of the SUV, new features and a new automatic gearbox option. 3 new colors have been added to it – Cherry Red, Shimla Green and Steel Grey. This vehicle will compete with Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Tata Sierra.

What has been changed in the look?
The Kushaq facelift gets the latest modern solid front look with slim LED headlights, eyebrow-like DRLs and L-shaped light signatures, which are connected to the segmented light bars in the grille. The bumper has been reshaped with an angular, raised silver skid plate. The Monte Carlo trim uses gloss-black instead of chrome, with the addition of 2 red grille stripes. New 16 and 17-inch alloy wheels, full-width LED light bar at the rear.

The interior has a black and beige color theme for the Prestige variant and crimson color theme for the Monte Carlo variant. The car also gets a 10.25-inch digital driver display and a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen with updated software, dual-color ambient lighting and a panoramic sunroof. It has a boot space of 491-litres, which is 106-litres more than before. It has rear seat massage function, 6-way ventilated power front seats, automatic climate control, 6-speaker audio system.

The biggest update in the Kushaq facelift is the new 8-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox for the 1-litre, turbo-petrol engine, which has replaced the old 6-speed gearbox. This engine is also available with a 6-speed manual gearbox. For those looking for more performance, there is a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, which comes mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. With this update, Skoda has also added rear disc brakes in the 1.5 TSI variant. Its price ranges between Rs 10.69-18.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
