What is the news?
Zoho’s messaging app Arttai has finally introduced the chat backup feature after several months of waiting. This feature is available on both Android and iOS platforms. The update lets users back up chats and media to the cloud and restore them when needed, bringing the service closer to rivals like WhatsApp. Users can now store chat data on cloud services.
This is how this feature works
Backups on Android are saved to Google Drive, while iPhone users can use iCloud. The company says that backups are encrypted, ensuring that chats remain safe even when stored online. The feature also lets you restore chats when you change devices or reinstall the app. Users can choose whether or not they want to include media files like photos, videos, and documents.
You can take backup like this
To use the feature, you will have to download the latest version of the app. After this, open the app, click on Settings, go to Chats, tap on Chat Backup and then select your cloud account (Google Drive or iCloud). Tap Enable Backup or Back Up Now. Can set the days (daily, weekly, monthly) of automatic backup. Users can also enable encrypted backups and generate recovery keys for added security.
Restore the backup like this
To restore chats on a new device or after reinstalling the app, open the app and log in with your registered account. Tap ‘Restore Backup’ when asked. Wait for the restore process to complete after choosing a backup from Google Drive or iCloud. For this ensure a stable internet connection. If there is a large backup, there should be a Wi-Fi connection. Before starting the backup, check that there is sufficient storage on the device.
