What is the news?
TVS’ Ronin has seen a steady growth in sales over the past year, gradually strengthening its position in the lifestyle motorcycle segment. Sales have increased from an average of 4,000-5,000 in early 2025 to 8,000 currently. In view of this increasing popularity, the company is preparing to expand the Ronin lineup. For this, a design patent for Cafe Racer has been filed, which was displayed in December 2025.
This is the look of the bike
Despite being built on the same platform as the standard Ronin, the Cafe Racer version has sportier graphics and a more attractive look. One of its key features is the sloping rear visor, which completely incorporates the headlight. Apart from providing protection from wind, this visor also protects the headlights from dust and dirt. There are low clip-on handlebars and rear-set footpegs, which ensure a firm riding position.
How will the other parts be?
The latest bike has a quarter fairing, which further enhances the retro look of the bike. Its proportions are perfect and the curved design gives a sense of movement even when stationary. The Ronin Cafe Racer features an upward-swept, short exhaust, which is quite different from the exhaust used on the standard model. It has a slim single seat with an integrated rear cowl. The bike will be fitted with race-focused tyres.
powertrain
This will be the powertrain in the bike
The Ronin Cafe Racer model will have a circular instrument cluster located in the middle. The alloy wheels and fuel tank will remain the same as the standard model. The same engine as the standard model will be used in it, which is a 225.9cc single cylinder, SOHC, oil cooled engine, which gives power of 20.4PS and torque of 19.93Nm. However, some changes can be made to make the riding experience a little better. The suspension and braking system are expected to remain the same as the existing model.
