Colombia’s Defense Minister Pedro Sánchez said the Hercules C-130 transport plane, manufactured by Lockheed Martin, “has suffered a tragic accident while taking off from Puerto Leguizamo. The plane was also carrying ammunition, which caused a massive explosion after a fire,” Sanchez said. Those killed in the crash include 58 soldiers, 6 air force personnel and 2 police officers.
