The entire stake of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has been bought by Aditya Birla Group (ABG), The Times of India Group (ToI), Bolt Ventures (Bolt), and Blackstone’s Perpetual Private Equity Strategy (BXPE, Blackstone). The purchase includes both men’s and women’s teams of IPL and WPL. With this deal, Aryaman Vikram Birla of Birla Group became the new chairman of RCB. Let us know about Aryaman.

Who is Aryaman Birla?

Aryaman, son of Aditya Birla Group Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla, is a former cricket player. Born on July 9, 1997 in Mumbai, Aryaman represented Madhya Pradesh in domestic cricket. He has played cricket with players like Rajat Patidar and Venkatesh Iyer. He scored 414 runs in 9 first-class matches at an average of 27.60. Apart from this, he scored 36 runs in 4 List-A matches.

Aryaman was bought by RR for Rs 30 lakh

Aryaman participated in the IPL 2018 auction and was bought by Rajasthan Royals (RR) for Rs 30 lakh. But he did not get a chance to play a single match and was released before the 2020 season. Amidst all this, he took an indefinite break from cricket in December 2019. Let us tell you that Aryaman played his last professional match in Ranji Trophy in January 2019.
