The month of March started with heat but then the rains changed the weather. At present the weather is normal but as the temperature has started increasing gradually in Northern India, there is a possibility of the weather changing once again. The reason for this is that in the coming days, two new waves of western disturbances may affect north-western India one after the other, the first of which may arrive tomorrow, i.e. on March 26. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued detailed forecasts for the coming few days for the hilly and plain areas of the north, which have experienced unseasonal rain and hailstorm in recent weeks.
Where, when and when will it rain?
- The weather in the hilly areas will change due to two western disturbances starting from March 26. There is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in Himachal Pradesh. Due to this, there will be light rain in lower and middle hilly areas and there may be sporadic rain in high hilly areas. Due to three active western disturbances in a row, scattered to scattered rain, thunderstorm and gusty winds continued to occur over northwest India last week
- Very light rain or drizzle with lightning, thunder and strong winds is likely to occur over Delhi and NCR on the afternoon of March 26. During this period, irregular fluctuations in temperature are expected. Wind speed can range from 20-30 km per hour to 40 km per hour.
- According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature is expected to increase by 2-3 degrees Celsius in the next two days, after which the temperature will drop by one to two degrees Celsius in the next 24 hours. No major change in temperature is expected in Delhi till March 29.
- The IMD studied the weather patterns and confirmed that similar weather will continue in April, with widespread thunderstorms, and light to moderate rain over the western Himalayan region and north-eastern India during the first week of April from March 26.
- The intensity of rain will mostly be light to moderate. However, those living in the mountains should remain alert as there is a risk of strong winds and lightning.
