The main reason behind the sudden decline of ‘The Kerala Story 2’ is Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Dhurandhar 2’. Yes, most of the screens of ‘The Kerala Story 2’ were taken away from the theaters after the release of this movie. Had it not been for the competition from ‘Dhurandhar 2’, the film would have easily crossed the Rs 50 crore mark.
Released in 2023, the first part of ‘The Kerala Story’ had an opening of Rs 6.75 crore. Finally, it collected 220 crore rupees and became a blockbuster. However, its sequel could not create that level of magic. However, it was considered a hit movie due to its low budget.
