Today’s Weather: India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert of major changes in the weather in many parts of the country. Due to the impact of two active western disturbances, there is a possibility of thunderstorm, rain and strong winds in about 22 states including North India, Northeast and Central India.
According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature in North-West India may increase by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius for the next two days, but after that there will be a gradual decline.
Rain and snowfall in Himalayan regions
According to IMD, there may be light to moderate rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand till March 27. At the same time, there are chances of intermittent rain in the north-western plains till March 31.
Thunderstorm warning in North India
There is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. During this period, strong winds can blow at a speed of 30 to 50 km per hour, due to which life can be affected.
Heavy rain in Northeast and Eastern India
The weather department has issued a warning of widespread rainfall, lightning and strong winds in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura between March 25 and 29. At the same time, there is a possibility of heavy rain at some places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.
Impact in Central and South India also
There are chances of thunderstorm with light rain in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha region. There is a possibility of thunderstorms and strong winds in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala in South India for the next five days. At the same time, hot and humid weather may persist in coastal Maharashtra and Kerala during March 25 to 27.
Changes in the weather of Delhi-NCR
Now there is going to be a brake on the rising temperature in Delhi-NCR. There is a possibility of light rain and thundershowers till the afternoon or evening of March 26. Winds can blow at a speed of 40 km per hour in the capital, while on March 29 and 30 this speed can reach 70 km per hour. This trend of rain is likely to continue till March 30.
How will the weather be in Uttar Pradesh?
There is a possibility of heavy rain and hailstorm in Uttar Pradesh on March 27. After this, from March 29 to March 31, heavy rain and winds at the speed of 30–50 km per hour may occur in many districts.
Thunderstorm alert in Bihar
A warning of storm, rain and hailstorm has been issued in Bihar on March 27. There may be rain with thunderstorms on March 28 also. Farmers have been advised to harvest the ready crops and keep them in a safe place and use hail net to protect them from hail.
