Free Train Travel Gallantry Award: The Modi government at the Center has given a big gift to the soldiers and their families who have received gallantry awards. According to the new order issued by the government, now gallantry medal winners of the Army, Air Force and Navy will get the facility of free travel in trains for life. This concession will be applicable for them in First Class, 2AC and AC Chair Car categories, in which they will also be able to take one companion along with them.

The families of the winners will also get benefits

This facility is not limited to just the award winners but also includes their families. Under this order, spouses of gallantry medal winners, whether widows or widowers and those who have remarried will also be able to avail this facility. Additionally, parents of unmarried posthumous award winners can also enjoy free travel for life.
