What is the news?
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the schedule of the second phase of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. The remaining 50 matches of the league stage will be played in 12 cities of the country from April 13 to May 24. Competitions will be held in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Dharamshala, Raipur and New Chandigarh. The first phase will start from March 28. The first match will be between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
8 double header matches will be played
The second phase of the tournament will start once again from 13th April 2026, when SRH and Rajasthan Royals (SRH) will face each other in Hyderabad. Along with this, we will see an interesting round of matches, where teams will give their all to make it to the playoffs. There will be a total of 8 double header matches in the second phase, in which the afternoon matches will be played at 3:30 pm and the evening matches will be played at 7:30 pm, due to which the fans will get full enjoyment of cricket.

RCB will play 2 matches in Raipur
Punjab Kings (PBKS) will play their home matches in New Chandigarh and Dharamshala in this phase, where 3 matches will be held in Dharamshala. At the same time, RR will play 4 home matches in Jaipur. RCB will play its 3 home matches in Bengaluru and 2 matches in Raipur. However, where the playoff matches will be held has not been announced yet, which will be announced later. The schedule of the second phase has been announced late due to assembly elections in 3 states.
