Indian cricket’s young star Vaibhav Suryavanshi has turned 15. At the age of just 14, this player made many big records in his name. Now this player is eligible to be a part of the senior Indian team. According to the rules of the International Cricket Council (ICC), any player must be at least 15 years of age to play in the senior team. Now the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) can choose Vaibhav.

Vaibhav had a stellar performance in the Under-19 World Cup.

Vaibhav’s performance in the Under-19 World Cup was excellent. He scored 439 runs in 7 matches at an average of 62.71. His strike rate was 169.49. Apart from 1 century, 3 half-centuries also came from his bat. His best score was 175 runs which came against England in the final. He hit 30 sixes. He also became the batsman who hit most sixes in the Under-19 World Cup. He was adjudged ‘Player of the Tournament’.

Indian who scored the fastest century in IPL

Vaibhav has become the Indian to score the fastest century in terms of balls in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He broke the previous record of Yusuf Pathan while playing for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in IPL 2025. Yusuf scored a century in 37 balls (RR vs MI, 2010). Vaibhav had scored a century in 35 balls. Only Chris Gayle is ahead of him. He scored a century in just 30 balls during IPL 2013 (vs Pune Warriors).
