NASA now wants to reduce the number of its employees. The agency has launched a voluntary retirement and resignation plan for this. NASA has asked all its employees to take a decision by 25 July whether they want to join the scheme or not. Under this, the employees who accept the scheme will be separated from the agency by January 9, 2026. This step is taken to reduce costs and simplify the functioning.
