Gujarat: Former Chief Minister Vijay Rupani’s last rites with state honors, salute given

Former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani was cremated in Rajkot on Monday night with state honors.

Earlier, he was given 21 cannon salutes. Various leaders including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, CR Patil, Governor Acharya Devvrat, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel paid tribute to him.

His body was brought home from Rajkot Airport, where his wife Anjali, son Vaibhav and others were present. The last journey was started from here.
