Gill has made a place in a special list by scoring 50+ in his first Test match as captain.

He has joined the list of selected captains of India who scored 50+ runs in the debut match itself.

The list has included Vijay Hazare, Nariman Contractor, Chandrakant Borde, Hemchandra Adhikari, Sunil Gavaskar, Dilip Vengsarkar, Sourav Ganguly, Kohli, KL Rahul and now Gill.
