‘Alone Hum Alone Tum’ was a Hindi remake of the American legal drama film ‘Kramar Verses Krams’ released in 1979. Aamir’s film flopped at the box office. However, Aamir and Manisha Koirala’s performances were highly appreciated. On the other hand, Aamir’s film ‘Man’, which came in 1999, was a remake of the American film ‘An Affair to Remambar’. Made in a budget of Rs 14 crore, the film earned Rs 35 crore at the box office.
‘Dil hai ko manta nahi’ and ‘ghajini’
It took Rs 1.5 crore to make Aamir and Pooja Bhatt’s film ‘Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi’. It earned Rs 4 crore. Not only the story of the film, but each song was a hit. It was inspired by the Hollywood film ‘It Hapad One Night’. On the other hand, Aamir’s ‘Ghajini’, made in the budget of Rs 65 crore, earned Rs 114 crore. It was a remake of the Tamil film which came under the same name, whose hero was Surya.
‘Lal Singh Chadha’
The producers spent around Rs 180 crore to make Aamir Khan’s ‘Lal Singh Chadha’, but when the film was released, it was beaten. The film was able to earn just Rs 61 crore in India. It was a Hindi remake of the Hollywood film ‘Forest Gump’. Aamir took some time break after this film. He was shocked by the film’s failure. The actor had blamed himself for the failure of this film.
