Bangalore: The Karnataka IAS Officers’ Association has strongly condemned MLC Ravi Kumar’s derogatory statement against the chief secretary of the state government, Shalini Rajneesh.
The delegation comprising CM Siddaramaiah today, Gaurav Gupta, Managing Director of KPTCL, Pankaj Kumar Pandey, Managing Director of KPTCL, Khushboo Goyal Chaudhary, Managing Director of Karnataka State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation, appealed for immediate action against Ravi Kumar.
‘The chief secretaries have the highest civilian post in the state. They are honored for integrity, dedication and unique public service. Ravikumar has made a statement of rude and defamator on a public forum against him and threatened the dignity of the vacancies. The IAS Officers Association quoted in the announcement that such objectionable statements would destroy the credibility of civil service.
Earlier, Ravikumar had made a baseless and communal statement against the District Collector of Kalaburagi. The Sangha also objected to this and strongly condemned his statement. However, Ravikumar has not converted his behavior and continued to blame the authorities.
N. Ravikumar should apologize publicly and unconditionally. Immediate legal action should be taken against them under applicable laws. The IAS Officers’ Association has demanded that the decision be taken and taken by the Karnataka Methodist Council.
