PM Modi on tour of 5 countries in 8 days, know how India is becoming ‘Global South’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been said on such a long foreign trip for the second time during his 11 -year rule. Earlier in 2015, between July 6 and July 13, the Prime Minister went on a visit to five countries in Russia and Central Asia. After this, this is the longest foreign trip of the Prime Minister. In this visit, the Prime Minister is on a visit to Global South i.e. Africa, Latin America and Caribbean countries. Under this, the Prime Minister will visit West African country Ghana, Caribbean country Trinidad and Tobago, Latin American countries Argentina and Brazil, as well as African countries Namibia.

Prime Minister in Ghana

Ghana, a country in West Africa, has a stock of important minerals, especially lithium. After about 30 years, this visit of a Prime Minister of India has taken place. PM Narendra Modi arrived here between 2-3 July. Here he also addressed the joint session of Ghana’s Parliament and here he was also given the highest civilian honor of Ghana by President Mahna.

Prime Minister in Trinidad and Tobago

The Prime Minister visited Trinidad -Tobago from 3 to 4 July. There are 40 to 45 percent of people of Indian origin. The power there is also in the hands of leaders of Indian origin. Between 1845 and 1917, about one lakh 17 thousand Indians were taken to the British to work there. Today, people of Indian origin here are in important roles in every field. Indians have now become the identity of Trinidad Tobago’s social culture. Strengthening your relationship with these countries is a major important part of Indian migrant diplomacy. Even before this, Modi has traveled to Caribbean countries.

PM Modi will go to Argentina

PM Narendra Modi is on a tour of Argentina from 4 to 5 July. Cooperation in trade and other fields with India’s diplomatic relations with Latin American country Argentina is continuously increasing. Sindhi and Punjabi of Indian origin are inhabited there. These people started settling there from the 1980s. The main objective of Argentina Yatra is to increase cooperation between the two countries in strategic, economic participation, climate change and technology. This country has a reserves of lithium. Let us know that after 1968 an Indian Prime Minister is traveling to Argentina. Earlier, former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi went to Argentina in 1968.

When will PM Modi go to Brazil?

After this, between 5 and 7 July, the Prime Minister will be in Rio de Janeiro, the capital of Brazil. The second part of the trip will be between 7 and 8 July in Brasilia, Brazil. The Brazil has gone to attend the Prime Minister’s BRICS Summit. This time the BRICS summit is chaired by Brazil and next year India will have an opportunity when India will host the BRICS Summit. Along with participating in Modi BRICS, Modi will also make a private tour of Brazil. Please tell that after India, Brazil has received the G20.

Brazil attended the G20 summit in India in 2023 and Modi attended the G20 summit in November last year. By the way, since 2023, PM Modi and Brazilian President Luiz Insio Lula Da Silva have met four times in two years. The two countries had a US $ 12.20 billion trade between 2024 and 25. Explain that India and Brazil are 77 years old. Defense, energy, space, biofuels, oil and gas, agricultural food processing animal husbandry, health and Ayurveda, technical, cooperation cultural exchange are deep and comprehensive. PM Modi will go to Namibia on 9 July

On July 9, the Prime Minister will visit the African country Namibia. Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee went to Namibia in South Africa in 1998, after which no Indian Prime Minister went to Namibia. This will be an Indian Prime Minister’s first Namibia visit after 27 years. Namibia was discussed in India in September 2022, because then 8 leopards were brought from Namibia to India, which were kept in Kuno National Park. Both countries have participation in wildlife conservation. Apart from this, Namibia has a stock of important minerals. India is fully helping Namibia in mining. India will also provide digital training to Namibia.
