26/11 Mumbai attack: Tahwvur Rana raised many secrets, revealed deep relations with Pak Army

In an important development related to the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, the Mumbai Crime Branch had intensively questioned Tawwur Rana, the main accused in the Customs of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in April this year. According to police sources, during the investigation in the case, many information was already on record. A police official said that Rana is still mentally mentally based on his old answers. He is giving information to the police, but his radical ideology is also reflected in his way of conversation.

Pakistani army’s ‘reliable’

In his statement, Rana claimed that he was a trusted person of the Pakistani Army. He said that he was also sent on a secret mission in Saudi Arabia during the invasion of Kuwait by Iraq, which shows his strategic importance to the Pakistani military establishment.

Rana said that he had completed his MBBS studies from Army Medical College in Rawalpindi in 1986, after which he was appointed as Captain (Doctor) in Quetta. He also worked in many sensitive military areas of Pakistan including Sindh, Balochistan, Bahawalpur and Siachen-Balotra sectors.

Accepted connection with another conspirator of 26/11

During interrogation, Rana also admitted to knowing Abdul Rahman Pasha, Sajid Mir and Major Iqbal. All three are Pakistani citizens and are believed to have played an important role in 26/11 Mumbai attacks. Rana is knowledgeable in many languages ​​like Hindi, English, Arabic and Pashto.

Many revelations made on Headley

At the same time, in his statement to the crime branch, Rana also made many revelations about David Headley. He said that between 2003 and 2004, Headley took part in three training courses with Lashkar-e-Taiba, although he does not remember all the courses.

When he was asked whose idea was to open the first immigration center in Mumbai, Rana claimed that it was his own idea, not Headley. Regarding the money sent to Headley, Rana said that this amount was sent as business expenses. Rana also admitted that despite having an office in Mumbai, there were challenges in obtaining clients.

Demanded by declaring fugitive from military service

Talking about his previous military career, Rana said that he had a pulmonary edema during an assignment in Siachen, due to which he had to be absent from duty for a long time. Due to this long absence, he was declared a fugitive and dismissed.

Police also said that Rana’s study about David Headley’s statement in court is also good.
