Thiruvananthapuram: A tragic accident has occurred in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Here a young man died tragically in a road accident just hours before his marriage. According to the information, the young man was going to get married in the temple on Monday morning. Before this, he died tragically on the spot after being hit by a roadways bus at around 1 o’clock in the night. The young man was going on a bike in Srikaryam area when this accident happened.
Marriage was to take place in the morning, accident at night
Police said that the deceased has been identified as Rajesh, resident of Chempazhanthi Chellamangalam. He was to be married to a woman from Kattakonam in a temple on Monday morning. According to the police, the accident took place at Pangappara Manguzhi around 1 am on Sunday, when the motorcycle collided with an electric bus. This bus was going towards Vikas Bhawan after charging at Kaniyapuram depot. Srikaryam police said that investigation has been started to find out the cause of the accident and CCTV footage is being scrutinized.
Accident happened while returning from relative’s house
Officials said that a case will be registered after the preliminary investigation is completed. According to police, the couple’s families were reportedly against the relationship, due to which they decided to get married and register it in a temple. He had also taken a house on rent in Chanthavila. The accident occurred when Rajesh was returning from a relative’s house. Police said he suffered serious head injuries and died on the spot. The motorcycle was completely damaged in the collision. Police said that the body will be handed over to the relatives after post-mortem.
