Actually, Akshay has condemned the racism faced by North-East Indians through the show and has raised his voice against it.

Contestants told stories of discrimination they faced

In the recent episode, three female contestants from Assam came who told how they become victims of discrimination while living in Mumbai. Hearing this, Akshay called his makeup artist Kim, who was from Manipur. On stage, Kim explains that he has always been a victim of people’s ridicule and stereotypes. Kim revealed that people use derogatory terms for her like ‘Chinese’, ‘Chinky’ or ‘Momo’. The actors were also stunned to hear this.

“They are as Indian as me, you and the people sitting here.”

Akshay said, “I want to tell all the people of India that North-East Indian people are discriminated against. They are all Indians. They are as much Indians as I, you and the people sitting here. They have contributed a lot to this country. Naga Regiment… Kargil War, Bangladesh War. They have shed their blood. They are Indians.” After the clip related to the show surfaced, people are also supporting Akshay on social media.
