Amazon started lab test facility at home, report will be found in 6 hours

E-commerce giant Amazon has started a new health service called ‘Amazon Diagnostic’, under which people can book more than 800 tests without leaving home. The company is claiming that a sample will be taken in less than 60 minutes and a digital report will be sent in less than 6 hours. Under this facility, medical professionals come directly home and take samples and everything can be tracked with the app.

This facility started in 6 cities

This new service has currently started in Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Amazon says that this service covers more than 450 PIN code. Users can book tests through Amazon app, choose time slots and get reports online. The service is part of the Amazon’s entire health platform scheme, which already includes pharmacy and online clinic services.

Target to make health services easier

Amazon has partnered with Bangalore -based company Orange Health Labs for this facility. This company has already been facilitating tests at home in many cities. Amazon says that he wants to make health services more simple, accessible and reliable. Now patients will be able to avoid going to clinics or in long queues. If this service is successful, the company may soon increase it to other cities.
