The body of Saket Srinivasiah, an Indian student studying in America, has been recovered.

The body of 22-year-old Indian student Saket Srinivasiah, studying in California, America, has been recovered. He was missing for the last 6 days. The Indian Consulate General in San Francisco has confirmed this. Saket, who hails from Karnataka, was studying chemical and biomolecular engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. She went missing on February 9, after which a continuous campaign was being conducted to search for her.

Indian Consulate General gave information

The Indian Consulate General said, ‘We are very sad to inform that the local police have confirmed that the body of missing Indian student Saket has been found. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones during this difficult time. We are ready to provide all help to the family, including coordination with local authorities and arrangements for repatriation of the mortal remains to India. Our officers are in direct contact with the family.

The bag was recovered from near the university campus

Saket was an alumnus of IIT Madras and was pursuing further studies at Berkeley. He was last seen near Lake Anza located in the Berkeley Hills area. During the search, Saket’s bag was found near his house located near a park, which also contained his passport and laptop. After his disappearance, Saket’s roommate, police and local people jointly launched a campaign.
