The Middle East is burning in the fire of fierce war. Israel and America are launching major attacks on Iran one after the other. In retaliation, Iran has also launched major attacks on many countries in the Middle East like Israel, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait. Amidst this fierce war, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi today spoke on telephone to Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He also spoke to Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and PM Mohammed bin Salman.
What did PM Modi say?
According to the information revealed, PM Modi condemned the attacks on both the countries and discussed the well-being of the Indian community in both the countries. PM Modi has been in constant touch with the leaders of Gulf countries since the war between America, Israel and Iran started.
On Sunday, he had spoken to his Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu over telephone and reiterated India’s appeal for an early end to all hostilities in the region. Apart from Netanyahu, he also spoke to United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, condemning Iranian attacks on Gulf countries and appealing for reducing tensions in the region. He also thanked Al Nahyan for taking care of the Indian community in UAE.
Talk between PM Modi and UAE President
Apart from Netanyahu, he has also spoken to United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. PM Modi said- I spoke to the President of the United Arab Emirates, my brother Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. I strongly condemned the attacks on the UAE and expressed my deepest condolences to those who lost their lives in these attacks. India stands in solidarity with the UAE in these difficult times. I expressed my gratitude to him for taking care of the Indian community living in UAE. We support de-escalation, regional peace, security and stability.”
PM Modi held CCS meeting
Prime Minister Narendra Modi called an important meeting of the CCS regarding the serious tension created in the Middle East after the deadly attack by America and Israel on Iran and the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The Iran-Israel war was discussed in the meeting. This meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security held at PM Modi’s residence late on Sunday evening lasted for about 3 hours in which Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman attended.
