Youth Congress protesters in police custody for five days
A Delhi court on Saturday sent four Indian Youth Congress workers arrested for protesting at the venue of the ‘AI Impact Summit’ to five-day police custody and allowed Delhi Police to interrogate them. The arrested protesters included Krishna Hari, National Secretary of Youth Congress from Bihar, Kundan Yadav, State Secretary of Youth Congress from Bihar; Youth Congress state president Ajay Kumar from Uttar Pradesh and Narasimha Yadav from Telangana are included.

Delhi Police had sought five-day custody of the arrested protesters, arguing that they raised anti-national slogans and were wearing T-shirts with objectionable pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He is also accused of scuffling with the security personnel and policemen deployed at the venue. All four were produced before Judicial Magistrate Ravi on Saturday afternoon, after which Delhi Police sought five days of custodial interrogation. After hearing the arguments, the court reserved its decision. At around 2 pm, the court accepted the petition requesting police custody.
